I will focus on protecting your property, your investment, and your families future with accurate property evaluations you can trust.
Also known as the “People’s Initiative to Limit Property Taxation”, Prop 13 caps the amount property taxes may increase each year. Prop 13 applies to Business and Homeowners alike.
I will work to ensure Prop 13 is held in place and followed to protect homeowners and small business owners from having large and undue tax burdens.
Create a separate unit within the Office that will be responsible for ensuring that there will be accountability for all property assessments and political contributions.
Big Campaign Donors will no longer be able to have undue influence or receive special treatment with regards to their property valuation.
Ensure that all property owners are treated fairly and equally, regardless of whether they are small business owner, a large corporation, or a homeowner.
Ensure that property owners that appeal their Property Values to the Assessment Appeals Board will get a fair and accurate Assessment from the Assessors’ Office.
Conduct educational workshops and provide tutorials to property owners to assist with the filing, preparation, and presentation before the Assessment Appeals Board.
All property owners will receive fair and equitable treatment from the Assessors’ Office during the Assessment Appeals process.
